It’s the weekend and I feel that I’ll be stuck here at home because it seems I won’t be getting the car today from Honda.

I thought I was able to fix it yesterday afternoon, coordinating between my insurance agent and the shop over an incomplete letter of authority. It ended with the insurance saying that I can pick up the car today and they’ll send the new LOA by Monday.

Of course this is the Philippines. What was I thinking. Lo and behold, the person whom I should coordinate with in Honda didn’t go to work today and didn’t inform everyone of this agreement with the insurance people. The car is ready, though. I texted my agent. No response yet. Honda, on the other hand, said they’ll get back to me on this one.

They could’ve said that my car will be ready by Monday and I’ll be fine with that. It’s this promise that they can’t keep that I’m bitching about. Do not commit to your customers what you cannot deliver. Plain and simple.

Oh well. At least I still have my bike with me.
