Hello Fishy, Fishy, Fishy!

Fun’s over. It’s time to get serious once again. This is what I said to myself right after I checked how much I weigh on our kiluhan weighing scale.

Ever since I suffered from pancreatitis in 2005 and went into this drastic low-fat, low-salt, no-meat, no-fried diet, I lost a lot of weight. Forty five pounds to be exact. But after a year of eating mostly grilled fish and rice, I started opening myself up to… ummm… “real food”. Of course, everything is in moderation, but these aren’t exactly healthy stuff that I was munching on.

And so when I checked the scale and saw that I gained back 15 pounds, it’s back to the diet again.

No regrets. It’s fun while it lasted. And I really don’t want to go through that pain again. I think I’ll be splurging every now and then. I’m still human, you know. But I know that I’m grateful that the pain is gone, and I’ll do what I have to do to prevent it from happening all over again.
