The coolest model that I saw so far is the Motorola Razr, which isn’t that high end by Philippine cellphone unit standards. The rest are Samsung and Motorola clamshell units.
Texting isn’t popular here. You can see almost everyone in the airport has a cellphone, but it’s only us who text and play mobile games. Puro sila calls.
Nampucha! Hanep ang lamig! Can you believe na talung talo niya ang Baguio?!?! Gosh. We arrived yesterday afternoon at around two in the afternoon through America West airlines. Actually dapat mas maaga pa kundi nadelay.
We’re living with Charo’s relatives in this place called San Bruno. Tawag nila dito ay “The Gateway to Southeast Asia”. Ang daming Pilipino kaming nakita during the whole trip – Los Angeles, Las Vegas at San Francisco – na parang hindi ka na umalis ng Pilipinas. At may Goldilocks pa!
We’ll be staying here for the rest of the week and fly back to Las Vegas on Saturday. Today, we’ll be meeting with Mykiss, Charo’s friend from work. Tomorrow, it’s going to be with my tita and my cousins who moved here in the 80’s. Then, we’ll probably meet with Ninong Enrique sometime Thursday or Friday. Kileg ‘di ba?
It’s 7:56 in the morning and Charo’s still asleep. On the other hand, I’m up by around five. Must be having trouble adjusting to the different time zone.
As for the shopping update, I enjoyed shopping in Las Vegas premium outlet. Prices are really cheap. I got a cool pair of Nike Shox running shoes for around P3,000 and they’re selling Oakley Juliets for only P8,500! They sell that for P16,000 in the Philippines! Imagine that!
That’s it so far. I’l try to post again tomorrow morning, which is about 11:00 PM Philippine Time.
Cheers!
