Day Tour

The Amazing Race gives us a good definition on what a day tour is. According to them “a day tour is a choice between two tasks, each with its pros and cons.”

Tired from work, Charo and I took advantage of the three-day weekend and went out of town to recharge and spend a quiet day with each other.

We booked a day tour at the Laiya Coco Grove in San Juan, Batangas. It’s a good 3-hour drive from Manila and is the same place where we had our company summer getaway this year.

There were only a few people in the resort so it was almost like having the place to ourselves. And we didn’t even have to worry about the food because it’s included in our package along with my favorite treehouse. What’s funny is we didn’t even swim at the beach because the beach floor felt much like clay. But we’re not beach people, so we spent a couple of hours in the pool instead.

It was a great weekend escapade that we’re both looking forward to our next adventure.
