What? January’s not over yet?!

I was going to blog and say something like “And that was January” until I figured it’s still January today. The 31st to be exact. So this darn month isn’t over yet and there’s still one more day to go before we start with a clean slate, more or less.

I’m glad the last day fell on a weekend or the madness would’ve been unbearable. The stress of this re-org with me heading a totally brand new team is slowly setting in and getting into my nerves. There are tons of things to do – sit down with News to know their process, write down the final individual job descriptions, cascade the new T.O., lay down the individual development plan, work on the big projects – the list goes on and on.
I’m glad that our tandem has this unwritten code of taking things lightly. This makes the job at hand easier to swallow. I’m also happy that there’s no bad blood between us. Being friends, it’s actually quite hard to be officially reporting to someone even if it’s just on paper, and I’m relieved that we went through this process as maturely as we both can. We went through five T.O. drafts to finalize things, but at least we didn’t end up killing each other.

Bakit kung kailan weekend saka naman maaga akong nagising? Naman, naman.

Wenk Wenk Moment of the Day

There’s this person wondering why she’s not getting any leads in her email address. In our meeting a few weeks ago, she said that she used to get these but it stopped after they moved to the new site.

Wondering what happened, I conducted my own investigation and visited the sites to see what’s wrong. Lo and behold, I discovered the root of the problem – she didn’t provide any email addresses in her area’s contact details. Not only that, in the subscription form, they specifically requested that it be sent through fax or mail.

Wenk wenk! With that set-up I’d more more surprised if she receives an email!

Can you believe it’s Wednesday already?!

The Process Continues

Finished with the Table of Organization (more or less). Now I’m writing the individual job descriptions, which is subject to review by HR and my bosses. It’s not as easy as it seems. I hope I can get this over and done with today so I can test my other project.

Is watching Bagets on our widescreen TV.

I’m already awake but it’s hard to get up. Project Rollback would be good.

There are mosquitos in Le Pavillion!

Congratulates Erwin and Angie So!

Thank God for YouTube! Now I know how to tie a tie! Hahahahaha! http://ping.fm/gliUf

Going to do my first run for the year. Hoping the foot is OK now.

Bittersweet

Yesterday was the day when told members of my team that I’m transferring to handle another team. I tried very hard not to show it but the whole experience was a bit sad for me. I’ve been with them for more than a year and, before this new table of organization was announced, I had plans for them. Now that I’m tasked to head the online operations team, I turn over the reins to Domi. I’m sure he will treat them well.

As for my new job, Dennis and I finally had our team organization table approved after five long drafting sessions. The original assignments given to us were IPTV and TFC Now for him and ABS-CBN.com and News for me, and so this is where we based our individual TOs in the first draft. How are we supposed to find out that it’s not like that at all? Anyway, now it’s all finished with me heading the group and him leading the publishing team. With a battle cry to make things as efficient as possible, we now head into the fray.

Here. We. Go.

Love actually?

Felt sad after watching Love Actually. Wouldn’t it be great to drink just one ice-cold bottle of beer tonight?
